Forgetting password can be most frustrating things to deal with and if you are unlucky enough to have forgotten the password to your windows account, you may be cursing to the heavens. You can avoid this by creating a Password Reset Dist.
Note: A Password Reset Disk only works with a Local Account on your PC not a Microsoft Account.
What is Password Reset Dist?
A password reset disk allows you to access your account on a local computer by resetting the password in the event that the password is forgotten. When you create the password reset disk, it allows you to reset your password no matter how many times you have changed the password.
The best part of password reset disk is you created it once and it will work forever.
Let's do this:
-Plug your USB drive into your PC
-press windows key and click control panel (windows 7) or press windows key + S and bring the search bar (windows 10/8).
-Click Users Accounts & Family Safety or type User Accounts
-Click User Accounts on the right side
-On the left side click Create a Password Reset Disk
-Click Next
-Click on the dropdown menu and choose which device you want to create a password reset disk
-Then type your Local Account Password. This is your current password to log into your account on your PC
-Click Next
-Wait to complete the progress bar to 100%
-Click Finish
Don't loose your device, because anyone who has it can get into your account easily. Put it on a safe place.
How to use Password Reset Disk:
You forgotten your password and hint not working. Your password reset disk will save you today.
-Plug your USB drive into your PC
-Click Reset Password when login screen appears.
-Click Next
-Click Dropdown Menu
-Click on the device of your password reset disk is located on.
-Click Next
-Type New Password
-Type New Password Again
-Type Password Hint
-Click Finish.
The Password to your account has now been reset. You can login your account with new password.
